Çiğdem Tunçelli Sinangil

Çiğdem Tunçelli Sinangil, violin (Lausanne, Switzerland), began her studies at the Conservatoire de Lausanne with Tina Strinning, and won numerous prizes in solo, duo and with her former ensemble at the Swiss Youth Music Competition. She subsequently earned her B.M. with highest honors at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne, where she studied with Gyula Stuller. Çiğdem is studying at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” Berlin with Eva-Christina Schoenweiss. She has participated in masterclasses with Shmuel Ashkenazy, Vadim Gluzman, and the Ysaye Quartet. She was a member of the Verbier Festival for seven summers, and is currently a member of the VFCO conducted by Gabor Takacs-Nagy. Additionally, she performs regularly with the Karajan Akademie der Berliner Philarmoniker and the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester in Berlin. Çiğdem has given numerous concerts with Musethica, whose mission is to bring music to underprivileged communities. Previous Yellow Barn musician (2022)
