Jeffrey Ho

Jeffrey Ho, cello (Santa Monica, CA), has performed in venues around Southern California such as the Broad Stage, Zipper Hall and Disney Concert Hall. He has recorded several chamber music performances thru LACMA Bing and KUSC radio with Antonio Lysy, Movses Pogossian, and Neal Stulberg. Jeffrey’s interests in contemporary music has led him to participate in ensembles around LA such as the USC Thornton Edge, UCLA Flux, and the Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra. Teaching and outreach has been an integral part of his career. He was a member of the UCLA Spikes Cello Quartet as part of the Gluck Foundation, which brought music to various parts of Southern California. Jeffrey performs as duo with his sister pianist/composer, Caroline Ho. Jeffrey received his B.A. from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music under the tutelage of Antonio Lysy and is currently pursuing postgraduate work with Ralph Kirshbaum at the USC Thornton School of Music. He plays on a composite late 17th century Milanese cello and has a keen interest on the rich history and tradition of violinmaking.
