Madeline Fayette

Madeline Fayette, cello (Wading River, NY), holds a Bachelor of Music from the Juilliard School and is pursuing a Master of Music, also at Juilliard, under the guidance of Natasha Brofsky.  Most recently, she was the soloist in a performance of the Brahms’ Double Concerto with her sister, Elizabeth Fayette and the Sound Symphony. Highlights of past seasons include Madeline's Lincoln Center debut with the Juilliard Pre-College Symphony, multiple appearances on Long Island’s Piano Plus Concert Series, and featured performances on WQXR’s Young Artist Showcase. Madeline is currently co-principal cellist of the Juilliard Orchestra.  In this role, she has worked with conductors Edward Gardner, Larry Rachleff, and Robert Spano. An avid chamber musician, Madeline has attended the Yellow Barn, Sarasota, and Kneisel Hall Music Festivals. In 2012, she was selected as a participant in the Robert Mann String Quartet Institute, where she worked with Mann and members of the American Quartet. Madeline has made appearances at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Rhinebeck Chamber Music Society. She has participated in the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s master class series with pianist Leon Fleisher and the Orion Quartet. In April 2014, Madeline will be an Artist-in-Residence at Music Feeds Us. Past Yellow Barn musician (2013-2014)
