Amelia Krinke

Amelia Krinke, viola (Bronx, NY), is a violist, conductor, and composer. Since 2017, she has studied viola with Yi-Fang Huang and Molly Carr at the Juilliard Pre-College. As a soloist, she has performed with the New Generation Symphony, and she has also played principal viola in the Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra. She was an Honorable Mention winner at the National YoungArts Competition 2022, and a finalist in the Juilliard Pre-College Concerto Competition in 2020 and 2022. She has played chamber music since the age of seven, and has performed at venues including the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris and the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. She has also performed alongside the Kronos Quartet at Carnegie Hall. Amelia is a New York Youth Symphony Conducting Apprentice, and she also regularly conducts her high school orchestra. She graduated from the Bronx High School of Science in 2022, winning their inaugural concerto competition in her senior year.
