Sarah Clarice Ghandour, cello (Atherton, CA), recently completed her first year at Bard Conservatory and College, where she studies with Peter Wiley. Sarah is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Preparatory Program, and previously studied cello with Jean-Michèl Fonteneau, Sieun Lin, and Irene Sharp. Sarah has won the San Francisco Bay Area Peninsula Symphony Young Musicians’ Concerto Competition, American Fine Arts Festival Golden Strings Solo Competition, Pacific Musical Society and ASTA solo competitions, ASTA National High School Honors Orchestra Competition. She was principal cellist of the Peninsula Youth Orchestra, and is a two-time winner of the Peninsula Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition. Previously she has been a participant at the Music@Menlo Chamber Music Festival & Institute, and this fall Sarah will attend the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. Past YAP musician (2012)
