Sarah Thomas

Sarah Thomas, violin (Memphis, TN), is committed to presenting music to diverse audiences in unconventional ways, incorporating bluegrass, pop, and classical music into her appearances in venues from traditional concert halls to the Memphis Zoo. As an auxiliary member of the Eroica Ensemble and Memphis Repertory Orchestra, she is dedicated to the principle of uniting musicians from a wide range of backgrounds to provide community concerts in fresh and exciting ways. Sarah is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University with Violaine Melançon. Aside from regular performances in Peabody ensembles, Sarah has recently performed as a soloist in the 39th Annual Baltimore Bach Marathon, improvised in Baltimore and Memphis, and recorded for singer/songwriter David LeMieux. When in her hometown, Sarah can be found collaborating with old friends on new projects, having chamber music parties, and working with violin students.
