YuEun Kim, violin (Seoul, South Korea), earned her BM and MM from the Seoul National University. She recently completed her Artist Diploma at the USC Thornton School of Music under Midori Goto. YuEun won first place in USC’s Solo Bach Competition and the Strings Concerto Competition, and was a semi-finalist at the Qingdao International Competition, and the Michael Hill International Competition. She is a founding member of the Zaffre String Quartet and has participated in the Perlman Music Program, Banff, and the Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival. Upcoming performances include solo performances with the LA Virtuosi orchestra, Temecula Valley Symphony, and the Sequoia Symphony, a San Francisco Bay-area tour with guitarist Ines Thome, and a Canadian tour with pianist Sung Chang.
