Emmanuel Roberts Dugal

Emmanuel Roberts Dugal, piano (Montreal, Canada) began playing at the age of 8. Two years later, he was admitted to Suzanne Goyette's class at the Montreal Conservatory of Music. He has won numerous provincial competitions, including the Concours de la Capitale in Québec, the Festival-Concours de Sherbrooke, Classival, and third prize at the national final of the Canadian Music Competition in Calgary in 2019. More recently, he was the winner of the OMNI competition, which earned him the immense privilege of playing Rachmaninov 2nd concerto with the Orchestre Métropolitain, conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin. An avid music lover, he is as interested in baroque music as in symphonic music of all periods as well as in opera. Emmanuel has also recently taken up jazz, improvisation and conducting. Since the fall of 2022, he has been a student of Stéphane Lemelin at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University in Montreal.
