Gaia Trionfera, violin (Perugia, Italy) recently completed her university studies with Krzysztof Węgrzyn at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover and is currently enrolled in a master’s degree program with Rainer Schmidt at the Hochschule für Musik, Basel. As a soloist and chamber musician, she has been awarded prizes in more than 30 national and international competitions, including the Concorso internazionale città di Padova, Feast of Duos (Sion, Valais) International Competition A.Grumiaux (Brussels) and the Vienna Grand Prize Virtuoso competition. She has performed in ensembles and concert halls in Italy and abroad, highlights of which include: Società Italiana dei Concerti in Milan, Teatro la Fenice (Venice), Teatro San Carlo in Genoa, Palazzo Pitti and Palazzo Sacrati (Florence), Philadelphia International Music Festival, Musikverein in Vienna, Auditorium della Conciliazione (Rome) on the occasion of the Rome Chamber Music Festival 2021, and Festival "Lumière du Roman" (Conques, France). As a soloist, she also performed with the chamber orchestra 'Solisti Aquilani' and the 'Lithuanian' under the batons of Amaury du Closel, Fabrizio Dorsi, and Hyung-ki Joo. Gaia is currently part of the roster supported by the artistic patronage 'Musica con le Ali'. She has collaborated with internationally renowned musicians including Andrea Lucchesini, Alessandro Taverna, Maurizio Baglini, Massimo Giuseppe Bianchi, David Feldman, Robert McDuffie, Dora Schwarzberg, Lawrence Dutton, and Rainer Schmidt. In 2022, Gaia co-founded the piano trio “Trio Venere” alongside pianist Daniel Borovitzky and cellist Nigel Thean, and together they were invited to participate in IMS Prussia Cove 2024.
