Hsin Lin Alice Lee

Hsin Lin Alice Lee, cello (Kaohsiung, Taiwan and Vancouver, B.C.) has been recognized by numerous societies and competitions, including the Canadian Music Competition, the Richmond Music Festival Concerto Competition, the Kay Meek competition of the Vancouver Academy of Music (VAM), and the Vancouver Women’s Music Musical Society. Alice has participated in master classes with highly-acclaimed artists, including Colin Carr, Amanda Forsyth, and Thomas Wiebe. She has also attended the Casalmaggiore International Festival in Italy and VAM’s Sea to Sky Chamberfest. In 2019, she was invited to perform a solo violin recital for the Vancouver Women’s Musical Society. As an avid chamber musician, Alice has been part of several ensembles, including the VAM Symphony Orchestra and the VSOSoM Sinfonietta. She has also won prizes from the VAM Elsje de Ridder Armstrong Chamber Music Competition and the Friends of Chamber Music Competition. Alice has performed as soloist with the Richmond Orchestra and the VAM Symphony Orchestra. She has studied with Joseph Elworthy and Sung Yong Lim, and is currently a student of Richard Aaron at the Juilliard School in New York.
