Hui Wu, piano (Guangzhou, China), is the winner of the 2011 Ryaichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund Award. She has premiered and recorded works by composers Elliott Schwartz, Paul Chihara and Eric Nathan, among others, and has appeared as a soloist with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Xia'men Symphony Orchestra, and New Juilliard Ensemble. Her performances have been broadcasted on WQXR in New York and KUSC in Los Angeles. In addition to Yellow Barn, Hui has been a participant at the Music Academy of the West, Taos, Goslar Concert Working Weeks, and BIMFA, among. She currently is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at University of Southern California and has studied at The Juilliard School under the tutelage of Philip Lasser, Matti Raekallio, and Jerome Lowenthal.
