Jackson Hill, viola (Hartford, CT) began his studies at age four with Melinda Daetsch at the Hartt School of Music, and is now a student of Carol Rodland at Juilliard Pre-College. He has attended the BUTI Jr String Intensive, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, Centre Stage Strings, University of Ottawa's Summer String Academy and Greenwood Music Camp where he has worked with Michael Strauss, Michael Van der Sloot, Matt Dane, and Michael Casimir. Jackson is also a composer and has studied with Dr. Manuel Sosa in the Pre-College division. He enjoys analyzing works by late-Romantic composers such as Anton Bruckner and Gustav Mahler.
