Jaha Lee, violin (Paris, France), received first prize at the Islam Petrela Competition, third prize and the audience prize at the Ginette Neveu Competition, fourth prize and a special prize at the International competition Rodolfo Lipizer, third prize at the Yuri Yankelevitch competition, and first prize of the Martha Debelli Foundation. She has received grants from the Mécénat Société Générale, the Meyer Foundation, and the Foundation Or du Rhin. Following studies with Alexandre Brussilovsky, Jaha entered the Paris Conservatory to work with Boris Garlitsky, obtaining her Master and postgraduate degrees with distinction, and completed a Konzertexamen in Folkwang Universität der Künste, Essen. She has also studied with Boris Kushnir, Liviu Prunaru, Pinchas Zukerman, and Felix Andrievsky. She was invited to the Seiji Ozawa International Academy Switzerland and was selected for a residency at the Villa Musica Foundation. She performed in the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra as an academist. Former co-leader of the Orchestre National de Lyon, she is guest leader of Orchestre d’Auvergne, Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, Opera de Saint-Etienne, and Orchestre de La Monnaie Bruxelles.
