
Ji-Yeon Lee, violin (Lawrence, Kansas), is currently a substitute with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and has served concertmaster and principal positions with Eastman School Symphony Orchestra and Eastman Philharmonia. She has performed on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center and in Kodak Hall as the Eastman School Concerto Competition winner. As an avid chamber musician, she has performed the Medtner Piano Quintet in Carnegie Hall Weill Recital Hall, Tchaikovsky Souvenir de Florence with Mikhail Kopelman, and has attended Bowdoin International Music Festival in addition to Yellow Barn’s Young Artist Program. She has participated in masterclasses with Pamela Frank, Marylou Speaker Churchill, David Kim, Eric Rosenblith, Nicholas Kitchen, Donald Weilerstein, and Päivyt Meller and Lucy Chapman. Ji-Yeon is currently pursuing her B.M. at the Eastman School of Music under Oleh Krysa.
