Karl Lee

Karl Lee, percussion (Boise, ID) is a USA-based percussionist hailing originally from Korea. He has been featured in Boise Master Chorale and Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Recently, he has collaborated as a chamber musician with Peabody students to perform the Mallet Quartet by Noah Goulet. Additionally, as a soloist, he has performed various works by Thierry De Mey, Juri Seo, Steven Snowden, Keiko Abe, Elliot Cole, and many more composers in venues including the Miriam Friedberg Hall, New York University, and the Tanglewood Festival. In addition, he played as a vibraphonist in the world-premiere of “Playing with Light” by Allen Skirvin in collaboration with students from Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. For four years, he also performed as a timpanist and percussionist for Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. With this ensemble, he performed works by Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Sibelius, Beethoven, Holst, and many more.
