Kevin Jang

Kevin Jang, piano (Edison, New Jersey), has won top awards at the Alberti International Piano Competition, International Young Artist Piano Competition in Washington D.C., Jacob Flier International Piano Competition, Rovere d’Oro International Young Talents Piano Competition, and the You Got Rhythm Young Artists Competition. Kevin has appeared as soloist with the Bravura Philharmonic, Edison Symphony, Juilliard Pre-College Chamber Orchestra, Monmouth Symphony, Orchestra Filarmonica Veneta, Orchestra Sinfonica di Chioggia, Philadelphia Biblical University Symphony, Plainfield Symphony, Summit Symphony, Warminster Symphony, and Westfield Symphony. He has performed at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, Lied Center of Kansas, New Jersey State Theatre, and Steinway Hall in New York City. In 2005, Kevin was awarded “Artist of the Season” by the Edison Arts Society and featured in “The Arts in Edison” Cable TV program. He is also a grant recipient from the Children's Foundation for the Arts. Kevin has played in master classes for John Perry, Enrique Graf, André-Michel Schub, and Lang Lang. Currently, Kevin studies piano under the tutelage of Bruce Brubaker at New England Conservatory of Music. He has attended The Juilliard School Pre-College Division with scholarships from Hecksher Foundation and Gordon Roberts. His former teachers include Susan Starr, Victoria Mushkatkol, Chiu-Tze Lin, Yelena Ivanov, and Elena Lisitsian.
