Lily Sullivan

Lily Sullivan, violin (Bloomington, IN) is a merit scholarship Fellow at the Music Institute of Chicago’s Academy, and she studies with Grigory Kalinovsky. Lily began playing the violin at age five at the Oklahoma City University Children’s Performing Arts Program, studying with Karén Khanagov. She has performed with orchestras such as the Ann Arbor Symphony and the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra. Most recently, Lily was named the Third Prize winner at the 10th International Louis Spohr Competition for Young Violinists in Weimar, Germany. Lily was chosen as a Young Laureate of the Chicago International Violin Competition for two consecutive years. Her chamber music accolades include the First Place and Grand Awards in the Barnett, Rembrandt, and Chicago National Chamber Music Competitions. Lily was honored to be selected as a Young Steinway Artist and to perform in the North Shore Chamber Music Festival’s Onstage/Offstage Series upon invitation from Vadim Gluzman. She has attended festivals such as the Huberman Project at the Jerusalem Music Center and the Heifetz International Music Institute. She has performed in masterclasses for Mauricio Fuks, Stanley Ritchie, Mihaela Martin, Itzhak Rashkovsky, and Ilya Kaler among many others.
