Liza Sadovy, actor, is currently playing Madame Morrible in London’s West End production of WICKED. Previously she has appeared in Oliver! (Sheffield Crucible Theatre), The History Boys (Mercury Theatre, Colchester) A Separate Reality (Royal Court Theatre), La Bete (Comedy Theatre, West End/The Music Box, Broadway, New York) with Mark Rylance and David Hyde Pearce, Annie Get Your Gun, Six Characters Looking for an Author, The Good Soul of Szechuan (Young Vic, all directed by Richard Jones), Sunday in the Park With George (Menier Chocolate Factory, Wyndhams Theatre, West End), Richard II (dir: Steven Berkoff), The Dresser (Duke of York, West End, directed by Sir Peter Hall), Tales From Vienna Woods, The Heiress (The National Theatre), Alice in Wonderland (RSC), Romeo and Juliet and Oh What a Lovely War (The Open Air Theatre, Regents Park), The Slow Drag (Whitehall, West End), Company (Donmar/Albery Theatre, West End directed by Sam Mendes), and the British Premiere of Sondheim’s Into the Woods (The Phoenix Theatre, West End, dir. Richard Jones). Winner of TMA Award for her roles as Katherine Glass in The Secret Rapture (Bristol Old Vic) and Paula Heimann in Mrs Klein (Northampton Theatre Royal), Liza spent two seasons working with Alan Ayckbourn in Scarborough. Liza has recorded over 150 plays and readings for BBC Radio 4, Radio 3 and The World Service, and is a regular contributor to What the Papers Say and Something Understood.
