Pablo Gómez, guitar (San Diego, CA) has performed at many international new music festivals, including Cervantino Festivals, Festival de México, Festival Internacional de Morelia, the Ferien Kurse für Neue Musik at Darmsatadt, and the Festival A Tempo in Caracas and Paris. He has appeared as a soloist with the Las Americas Chamber Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra of Mexico City, Carlos Chavez Orchestra, and Chamber Orchestra of Fine Arts in Mexico City as well as the Contemporary Ensemble of Montreal and the Kore Ensemble of Canada, the Ibero-American Ensemble of Madrid, the Latin American Quartet, and Onix. Pablo began his musical studies at the School Introduction to Music and Dance with maestro Gerardo Carrillo and received his professional education at the National School of Music at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. With the support of Mexico’s National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA), he attended a specialized contemporary music program in Stockholm, Sweden, with Magnus Andersson. Pablo’s discography includes a solo recording Tañendo Recio on the Quindecim label. He currently teaches at UNAM’s National School of Music and is pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of California at San Diego.
