Qing Jiang, piano (Philadelphia, PA), enjoys a diverse career in solo, chamber and contemporary music. She has appeared in Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Jordan Hall, and Steinway Hall, and has performed as a concerto soloist with Oliver Knussen and the Britten-Pears Orchestra in UK, and with Bian Zushan and Lanzhou Symphony Orchestra in China. Qing has been featured at numerous festivals, including Aldeburgh, Yellow Barn, Ravinia, the Perlman Music Program, Music@Menlo, Chamber Music Northwest, and Aspen. She has performed with Itzhak Perlman, Donald Weilerstein, Anthony Marwood, Natasha Brofsky, and Gil Kalish, as well as with the Shanghai Quartet, the Parker Quartet, and members of the Emerson, Juilliard, and Kronos quartets. She is also a strong advocate of contemporary music and has worked directly with leading composers Jennifer Higdon, Colin Matthews, Jörg Widmann, and others. As the first Chinese recipient of Jack Kent Cooke Arts Scholarship, Qing is a graduate of Arizona State University, Juilliard, and New England Conservatory, under the tutelage of Caio Pagano, Robert McDonald, Wha Kyung Byun, and the late Patricia Zander. Qing is currently Assistant Professor of Piano at Bucknell University, and Piano Faculty at the Kneisel Hall Chamber Music School and Festival. Past Yellow Barn musician (2011-2013)
