Tomer Gewirtzman, piano (Haifa, Israel), this past year performed as soloist with the Juilliard Orchestra at Carnegie Hall as winner of the Juilliard Concerto Competition. He has previously appeared as soloist with the Israel Philharmonic, Russia’s Mariinsky Orchestra in St. Petersburg, and with the symphonies of Shreveport, Charlottesville, Bucks County, and South Arkansas. In recital, he has performed at London’s Steinway Hall, Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and in the Young Concert Artists Series in New York and Washington, D.C. He has attended Bravo! Vail, the Aspen Music Festival, PianoFest, New York’s International Keyboard Institute Festival, and festivals in Italy, Belgium and Germany. Tomer was a winner of the Young Concert Artists International Auditions. In addition, he received First Prize at the Louisiana’s Wideman International Piano Competition, the Piano Prize and Audience Prize at the America-Israel Cultural Foundation's Aviv Competition, and First Prizes at many competitions in Israel.
