Salon Séance is an initiative of collaborating artists and scholars that seeks to bring us closer to the creative minds of the past, and illuminate their relevance in our time. This residency brings together musician, actor, playwright, and historian to prepare a new program: “Britten and Auden’s Personal War”. Exploring the relationship between two British exiles, composer Benjamin Britten and poet W.H. Auden, the ensemble confronts the question of how to live in a broken world.
