Eunae Koh, violin (Daejeon, South Korea), is the newest member of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. She has toured with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and A Far Cry, as well as appeared as guest concertmaster of New York Classical Players and Symphony in C in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Jordan Hall and Lincoln Center. In January of 2020, she will have a recital tour in three German cities: Wernigerode, Magdeburg, and Köthen. Previously, Eunae was awarded second prize and the chamber music prize at the 2015 Michael Hill International Competition and also won the Seong-Yawng Park prize at the 2011 Isang Yun International Competition. Eunae has appeared as soloist with the Auckland Philharmonic, Thayer Symphony Orchestra, Colby Symphony Orchestra, Hwaum Chamber Orchestra, New England Conservatory’s Symphony Orchestra and Korean Chamber Orchestra in New Zealand, Korea and the United States. Her performances have been featured on the South Korean national radio station KBS Classic FM. As an active chamber musician, Eunae appears regularly with Jupiter Chamber Players, Chameleon Arts Ensemble, and has performed with Donald Weilerstein and Ayano Ninomiya. She was faculty of Yellow Barn’s Young Artists Program in 2018 and has participated in the Olympic Music Festival and the Rockport Chamber Music Festival. Eunae received a Master’s Degree and Graduate Diploma at New England Conservatory, where she served as teaching assistant to Donald Weilerstein. Eunae is currently finishing her doctoral studies at the Manhattan School of Music, working with Mark Steinberg of the Brentano Quartet. Previous Yellow Barn musician (2017)
