Sahana Shravan, violin (Boca Raton, FL), is currently completing her B.M. in Violin Performance at The Juilliard School, where she studies with Areta Zhulla. She started studying violin at 3 years old in her hometown of Boca Raton, FL. As a winner of the American Protege Competition, Sahana made her solo debut at Carnegie Hall in 2014. Since then, she has performed with the Florida Youth Orchestra, Alhambra Orchestra, Greater Miami Youth Symphony, and competed at the national level of the Music Teachers National Association’s 2019 Competition in Spokane, Washington. In 2019, she performed under the baton of Maestro Michael Tilson Thomas with the New World Symphony, and was given the opportunity to play for Maestro Thomas and Elmar Oliveira. She has attended and performed at the Yellowbarn Young Artists Program, Killington Music Festival, Chelsea Music Festival, and the National Arts Diversity Integration Association.
