Elspeth Davis is a Brooklyn based mezzo-soprano specializing in new music. Past season highlights include György Ligeti's "Síppal, dobbal, nádihegedüvel" with Sandbox Percussion at Trinity Church Wall Street, in a program that also included composer Christopher Cerrone's companion piece, "Goldbeater's Skin;" "The Juliet Letters" with the Argus Quartet, and The Defiance through Art series with Arizona Opera and Violins of Hope.
Elspeth made her European debut as Der Trommler in Der Kaiser von Atlantis with Schülterwerke and the Klangforum Wein in Vienna, and was one of the seven singers invited to the inaugural season of Liederfest in Suzhou in Suzhou, China, where she performed Bernstein's "Arias and Barcarolles" and Brahms' "Liebeslider Walzer."
She is also an avid lecturer, and a founder and co-host of the music podcast "Opera After Dark."
