Muyang Wu, violin (Shanghai, China), trained under Qinglin Zhu at the Music Middle School affiliated with the Shanghai Conservatory Of Music until 2021. He is currently continuing his studies with Margaret Batjer at the Colburn Music Academy as a Kohl Scholar. Muyang has been a prize winner in several competitions including the 2019 Zhuhai Mozart Competition and the Singapore Violin Festival Competition. He has participated in masterclasses with Christian Tetzlaff, Midori, Ronald Copes, Boris Kuschnir, Noah Bendix-Balgley, Tai Murray, Erin Keefe, Philip Setzer, and the Aizuri Quartet. He has attended the Morningside Music Bridge, Meadowmount School of Music, Center Stage Strings, and Vivace music festivals. Muyang has performed as a soloist with the Salzburg Chamber Orchestra and Shanghai Opera Symphony Orchestra. He will attend the Juilliard School studying with Catherine Cho in the Fall of 2024.
