Austin Haley Berman, violin (Berwyn, PA), currently studies with Francesca dePasquale. His past teachers include the late William dePasquale and Choong Jin Chang. Austin is an Advanced Study Scholarship recipient in the Meyer-Schwartz Piano Trio at the Settlement Music School, and was a Dorothy Richard Starling Scholarship recipient at Temple Music's Center for Gifted Young Musicians. He serves as concertmaster of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra and the Delaware County Youth Orchestra. Austin has made numerous solo appearances with orchestras in the Philadelphia tri-state region and has been a first place recipient in many young artist competitions. He has participated in masterclasses with Soovin Kim, William Fitzpatrick, Pamela Frank, and Lisa Batiashvili. In addition to the Young Artists Program, Austin will be a participant at the Aspen Music Festival this year. Past YAP musician (2012)
