Angela Qianwen Shen, violin (Bengbu, China), holds a Bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Conservatory of Music and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the New England Conservatory under the tutelage of Donald Weilerstein. She is a member of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, the NEC Philharmonic Orchestra and Discovery Ensemble and won second prize in the 2013 Hudson Valley Philharmonic String Competition. Angela has been invited to perform abroad in Japan, Romania, and Singapore, among others. Her chamber music influences include Jensen Horn-Sin Lam, Yinjia Yu, Mai Motobuchi, Vivian Weilerstein, and Lucy Chapman. Past Yellow Barn musician (2014)
