Adelya Nartadjieva, violin (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), is a current student of Hyo Kang at the Yale School of Music. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music with Qian Zhou. Following her solo debut with the Chamber Orchestra of Uzbekistan, Adelya performed with orchestras in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Asia, Russia, Europe, and the USA. She has worked with Shmuel Ashkenasi, Vadim Repin, Renaud Capucon, Midori Goto, David Takeno, and Olivier Charlier. Adelya has performed at the Heifetz International Music Festival and Winter Workshop at Four Seasons Festival, and at festivals in Asia, Russia, and Switzerland. Adelya has led the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Orchestra under the batons of Robert Spano and Eiji Oue and the Yale Philharmonia under the baton of Peter Oundjian. She received the Education Grant from the Rachel Elizabeth Barton Foundation and the Steven Baxter Scholarship Award from Yong Siew Toh. In 2014, she joined the Sejong International Soloists, performing with them around Europe, Asia, and the USA. In 2015, Adelya was named a winner of Woolsey Concerto Competition at the Yale School of Music and was awarded the Broadus Erle Prize. Past Yellow Barn musician (Summer 2015).
