Sebastian Stöger, cello (New York, NY), is pursuing his BM at the Juilliard School as a student of Joel Krosnick. Previously, he studied with Yari Bond at the Special Music School in New York City, and with Clara Kim at the Juilliard School Pre-College Division. He made his solo debut at Jacob’s Pillow in Massachusetts, premiering Steve Marzullo’s Suite for Cello and Piano with choreography for modern jazz dancers by Chet Walker at the Jazz Happenings concert. He was featured on NPR’s From the Top, and is a Jack Kent Cooke Artist Award recipient. He has attended the Perlman Music Program, where he worked with Ron Leonard, Paul Katz, Astrid Schween, Merry Peckham, and Itzhak Perlman. Sebastian is currently the featured cellist of Omega Ensembles for the 2017/2018 season.
