Emma Frucht, violin (New York, NY) is a violin MM degree student and Kovner Fellow at the Juilliard School, studying with Naoko Tanaka and Daniel Phillips. Emma completed her undergraduate education at Harvard University, majoring in Art History, and studying violin privately with Lynn Chang. Emma has served as concertmaster of numerous ensembles, including both the Harvard and Juilliard Orchestras. She collaborated most recently with Jean-Michel Fonteneau, David Hardy, Michael Kannen, Seth Knopp, Violaine Melançon, Katherine Murdock, Irina Muresanu, Carol Rodland, Peter Stumpf, and Roger Tapping. She has been a fellowship student at the Aspen Music Festival, the Music Academy of the West, and the Taos School of Music. At these festivals, she has worked extensively with members of the Borromeo, Brentano, Miró, and Takács string quartets. Emma  has also been an artist at the Halcyon Music Festival, the Kyoto International Music Festival, and the Manchester Summer Chamber Music series in Manchester-by-the-sea, MA.
