Georgina Rossi, viola (Santiago, Chile), began her viola studies with her mother, Penelope Knuth, at the Catholic University of Santiago. She was awarded the FONDART scholarship, which allowed her to pursue her studies in the United States. In previous summers she has participated in the Summit Music Festival, Boston University Tanglewood Institute’s String Quartet Workshop, Festival Internacional de Violín (Mérida, Venezuela), and Bowdoin Music Festival. A graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy, Georgina’s high school string quartet was awarded the opportunity to tour and perform in major venues of Chicago and Grand Rapids. Georgina currently is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at Manhattan School of Music, where she is a student of Karen Dreyfus.
